My Project

In Hawaiʻi, we are very fortunate to live in a climate that allows us to learn outside year-round. These items will help my students get the hands-on experiences they need to learn more about taking care of our land and sustainability.

Our children are taught from a young age to honor and take care of the land as our ancestors have done for generations before us.

As our world continues to change and times get a bit more difficult, it is so much more important for our youth to learn about our earth, planting and cultivating, and being able to sustain themselves and generations to come.

This class is a start and these items will help tremendously. Our class focuses on space and earth as it is important to learn of everything near and far, seen and unseen, and it is so amazing to watch their love for learning grow whenever we have opportunities for hands-on science classes.

This science class also encourages healthy lifestyles and the excellent therapeutic outlet of being able to grow plants and food and take care of an environment that has the potential to provide. It gives students the drive they need to succeed and the confidence to learn and excel in science.
