My Project

Some days each of our five Visual Arts studios see 250 students. We share a lot of resources in the form of skeleton models wheeling from place to place, skulls delivered between drawing classes and lots of books passed around. This project asks for help with some of the things that would truly enrich our students. We have a large DVD library, with no current working DVD players, and access to the videos would give our students an even richer art education. I will be sharing all this wealth with our team of five teachers and all the students in our Visual Arts academy.

Students still use a lot of reference books to help them build up knowledge of anatomy and structure and this goes faster with richly illustrated books to help.

There is truly no shortcuts in learning to draw well and these titles will help my students research and create more complex and well drawn images. This project helps build my classroom library with the most sought after topics, which include figure and life drawing references, as well as providing DVD players for each studio, and skeletons and skulls to share with all.
