This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The school year is coming to an end which means many of my students won't be able to have a selection of reading material over summer. This was the first year in two years, we as a class were able to visit the school library. Soon, that opportunity will be gone - maybe for good as my 6th graders move on to middle school.

Giving my students a hand selected book of their choice for their summer reading will help continue their growth.

Many students don't have the means or ability to purchase new books for their home library. I want to be able to help any way I can.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
