My Students

My students are amazing little people with a desire to learn. With all the obstacles they face in and outside of our classroom they need to know that I am always here to give them every opportunity possible. We live in a low income high poverty school district. Students tend to take care of themselves when they go home. They are always so happy to come in the classroom each day. I want to keep their spirits high. They deserve the best!

My Project

We need a place to sit together during small group time where I can interact with each student simultaneously! Right now we have to sit on the floor or students stand at my desk. I would like a place to come together as a group to share ideas and collaborate. A kidney shaped table will give me the opportunity to to sit with my students and talk to each one and collaborate in a comfortable manner. Students can work as a group in a student led format at the kidney shaped table as well. I hope to create student leaders.
