Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are scientists. Our students are mathematicians. Our students are readers and authors. Our students are explorers. My students make discoveries each and every day. Our students are budding athletes.
It is our mission to provide our students with a challenging and inquiry-based STEM curriculum to maximize individual potential and ensure that our students succeed in a global community.
Our goal is to expose students to as many learning opportunities that will prepare them for the future as possible, all while bringing to the forefront ideas and concepts that they may not have considered before.
Our school is a place filled with family. Not only do we serve and have families who entrust us with their children, we have our own family. This family includes our classroom families, our school community family, and our family of staff. We consider each day as an opportunity to learn something new and support our family members on their path to success.
My Project
My students love to work together and collaborate. We love to solve real problems with real solutions! We work around the room at tables, on the floor, and outside; however, we never have quite enough space for students to work out their ideas. I am requesting whiteboard tables to help solve this problem!
With these whiteboard tables, students will not have to worry about writing space; they can feel free to work together, write down their ideas, and collaborate!
The bar height stools make our classroom feel more like home, and the floor seats make sitting around the classroom on the floor much more comfortable.
