My Project

I am moving to a new grade level (1st grade) and currently borrowing another teacher's classroom rug. A classroom rug will create a comfortable and organized space where students can gather for lessons, read-alouds, small group instruction, and class discussions. Having a designated meeting area helps students stay engaged, focused, and connected during learning activities. The rug will also support classroom community by giving every student a shared space where they feel included, safe, and ready to learn.

My goal is to create a welcoming and functional learning environment that encourages collaboration, active participation, and student engagement.

With a classroom rug, students will have a consistent space for whole-group instruction, partner work, and social-emotional learning activities. I hope to make the classroom more comfortable and inviting so students can focus on learning and building positive relationships with their classmates.

My students are curious, energetic, and eager to learn. They come to school each day ready to explore new ideas and support one another. They thrive in hands-on, interactive learning environments where they can collaborate, share their thinking, and build confidence. Creating a warm and inclusive classroom space will help them continue to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
