My Project
My incredible learners are always involved with how they want their learning environment to look and feel. Giving them a voice in creating their learning environment helps with their engagement and motivation to learn.
These items will promote a clean, exciting, and engaging learning environment.
The floor chair will be added to our classroom library area, allowing students to have more flexible seating for reading time. They will also use this chair for small-group learning time. The Doterra essential oils will be used for the daily purifying of our room. We have been using these oils since the beginning of the school year to purify our classroom and reduce the spread of everyday illnesses and newer uncommon viruses. The Bissell vacuum will be used to clean their classroom library rug and become a part of the classroom jobs for which they get paid using classroom dollars. The headphones are for students to use when they access digital components of our curriculum and provided services through EL or other related services. The dry-erase markers are for everyday use, like math fluency problems, word work in ELA, and small-group learning time in all subject areas. Lastly, the bean bag refill is to refill our classroom bean bag, which is used every day for reading time.
Students will use all these items immediately and daily in their everyday learning. Keeping our classroom clean and having a variety of seating areas helps with social-emotional learning, like calming areas. It is also useful for small group meetings. Our overall goal is always to have an inviting, clean, and calm learning environment so that all learners can grow successfully.
