Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Music is essential to learning! In our TK classroom, we pair so much of what we do each day with rhythms and songs. We start each day with calendar songs, counting songs, and fun songs that put a smile on the children's faces and get their bodies moving to prepare for a day of learning. We also play calming music during our focused learning time and quiet times to set a peaceful tone in the classroom.
Recently, the Bluetooth speaker that we use every day to play all of our music stopped working.
The class has been devastated and asking daily for their favorite songs, but we have no way to play them anymore. I already know what an impact getting a speaker back into the classroom will make. I can't wait to surprise the class with a new speaker and see the joy on their faces when we get to sing and enjoy this gift of music together again.
