Because of you, my students now have access to a wide variety of diverse books that better represent who they are, their families, and the world around them.\r\n\r\nWhen the books arrived, the excitement in our classroom was immediate. Students couldn't wait to explore the shelves and dive into new stories. Many of them were drawn to books where they could see characters who look like them or share similar experiences. Others were eager to learn about cultures, traditions, and perspectives different from their own. These books have already sparked meaningful conversations and created moments of connection during our reading time.\r\n\r\nHaving a classroom library filled with diverse voices ensures that every student feels seen, valued, and inspired. It also helps build empathy, as my students learn about and appreciate lives beyond their own. These stories are not only strengthening their reading skills but also broadening their understanding of the world.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has made a lasting impact in my classroom, and I am so grateful for your support. I think that reading these books was a wonderful way to teach them the social and emotional skills needed to be successful students. We were able to read, do fun activities and reflect on what we learned from the books all year long. The books gave us examples we could refer to all year long. We read Tattle tongue did the activities from the activity book. We made posters and pictures of ourselves with a yellow and purple spotted tongue. We reviewed the rules of tattling and how to be a Danger Ranger whenever it was needed. \r\nWe also used our tattle phone. It was incredible. When students were not following the rules, we would reference one of the books we had read. It was great when the students started making connections to situations on the playground and what they learned from the books we got. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation of social-emotional books for my classroom. The impact of these stories has been truly amazing.\r\n\r\nMy Kindergarten students have absolutely fallen in love with the books, and they have sparked some incredibly meaningful discussions about emotions, kindness, and empathy. It has been such a joy to watch them connect with the characters and lessons, often asking to reread their favorite stories. These books have become a valuable tool in helping them navigate their own feelings and build stronger social skills.\r\n\r\nYour support has made a real difference in their learning, and we are so grateful for your contribution. All of the activities are appropriately matched to the students and the learning station . They enjoy getting the carts each day and wheeling them around to their designated area in the classroom .
