My Students

I love the diversity of my students. The population of which I teach consists of 10 different spoken languages.They are here to become successful citizens and members of our community. My goal is to instill a love of reading and for them to become lifelong learners.

My Project

My diverse classroom consists of many cultures and languages, and I would like to provide them with high interest books to motivate them to read along with audio books to supplement the written word as they are becoming more familiar with the English language while they are in my English Language Arts classroom. A variety of genres and levels of book choices will provide them with the opportunity to read which will build their reading stamina and improve their fluency and comprehension. My goal is to build a community of readers and lifelong learners.
