Simple Words for Beginning Readers

Help me give my students several literacy center activities to help build CVC words and practice our sight words!

My Project

My young students come to me eager to learn, but they are very unsure of themselves, and it is hard to convince them that they can read. After securing their letter names and learning their sounds we move on to sounding out words. To build up their confidence these CVC short 3 letter word building activities will help them build up their confidence and learn to believe in themselves and their ability to sound out words and read! The CVC class pack is going to be perfect to use for my whole group lessons guiding the students how to use the dice to build words. The other activities will help provide my students with extra practice at our small group morning literacy centers. These fun activities will keep my students active and engaged in their learning while I am pulling my small reading groups and working with them on skills that they need.

Hands-on learning is the BEST way for my young students to learn!

All of these fun CVC activities will keep my students engaged and on task, while building their confidence with hands-on learning opportunities!
