My Project

Although poverty and our rural location pose difficulties and limit opportunities, my students work hard and consistently do more with less. I'm very proud of them, and I try to meet their individual needs and create a welcoming classroom with items they need for health and success.

At the end of every year, I ask students what my classroom had that made the year better for them and what more it might need for the next year; this project is a response to their answers.

What students loved about my classroom was having water to drink, pencils and markers to use, and basics like tissues and paper towels at hand. What they think I need for next year is air freshener for a better smelling room and more candy.

This project will allow me to continue providing the things they love, provide an essential oil diffusor to keep my room smelling great, and restock a few things I've depleted or never had.
