My students from Erie will be participating in a new STEM program to the school. This program will provide students of all cultures, economic status and abilities the chance to participate in activities involving science, technology, engineering and math. These students will have the opportunity to learn in a hands-on environment.
My students love hands-on, engaging activities that challenge them to think outside the box.
The entire school will benefit from this program. I am hoping to encourage these students into exploring STEM not only in the classroom, but in life as well.
My STEM position is new to the district and we have little resources. My students would benefit from these simple machine sets in many different ways.
By having these simple machine sets in the classroom, my students will be able to explore the engineering process and have a better understanding of simple machines and their purpose.
Students are noticeably engaged when participating in hands on learning and I would like to transition that into my classroom. These simple machine sets can contribute to the understanding of concepts and to the engagement of the students. I would love to be able to provide hands on engineering activities for my students and these simple machines will do that.
