The students in the Atkins High School music department are some of the most dedicated, hard-working young musicians you will ever encounter. They are in the music classrooms before and after school every day practicing and are constantly striving for excellence through music. In addition, they are kind, intelligent students who regularly help out their teachers, peers, and families.
The music department at Atkins functions as one big family in which members push each other to grow and better themselves, both as musicians and as people.
Simon Says is the co-ed a cappella group at Atkins High School in Winston Salem, NC. They perform frequently around the school, community, and also perform annually in a cappella competitions around the state.
Right now, Simon Says is raising money to purchase a set of microphones so that each singer in a cappella can hold a microphone while on stage.
We can then project and balance each individual voice through our school auditorium's sound system for optimal sound quality. Having these microphones would take Simon Says to the next level as far as performing and competing. Thank you!
