My Students
The majority of our students do not come equipped with standard school supplies, proper clothes, and online resources.
I teach at a Title I school where over 70 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Our school educates over 600 ethnically and economically diverse students.
Despite so many obstacles, students come into the classroom ready to learn. I have a chance to reach 20 plus students academically and give them what they need to succeed. Success is not measured by where you come from but measured by one's acts to become successful.
My Project
My classroom is in desperate need of some attention. All classrooms come equipped with desks and chairs. However, with all the small moving student bodies, chairs become loud and distracting.
Each time a chair moves a crossed the floor 1 out of 3 children lose their concentration and focus.
It is essential for students to be able to focus on listening to instruction and learning.
These tennis balls will be applied to the feet of every chair in the classroom. This application will reduce the noise in the room significantly. We thank you for maximizing our classroom learning one chair at a time.
