I am creating this project in an attempt to get a projector and speakers for my classroom. Having these materials would allow me the opportunity to engage my students in learning through both sound and imagery. I would be able to deliver lessons that are more captivating. I have seen first hand how the use of an audiobook, for example, gets students more excited and invested in what they’re reading because they can actually hear the characters' voices through a speaker and see the speaker projected on the screen. Unfortunately, my current projector is very old, no longer compatible with the other technology, and does not have working speakers. With these new materials, students would be able to see the assignments projected on the board in front of them as they are working. As an adopter of Blended Learning, I would utilize this new technology to support the different styles of learning taking place in the room. It will also be a way for me to show video tutorials and examples to the class, as a way for students to know exactly what is expected of them. These are some of the reasons why these classroom materials will benefit my students, as well as assist in my teaching.
