Show Us the Books: Colors, Size, Shape, Counting and Building!
Help me give my students books for learning colors, shapes and science. My preschool students love to listen and looks at books. Books captures their attention and gain their interest for learning.
My students are in preschool with Autism. I teach in a Title I school, which means there is a high number of economically disadvantaged children. Even though my students have many obstacles they try very hard to do their best. Many of my students are not able to communicate verbally and an easel will provide a way for me to easily display visuals for their learning. My caseload includes a wide variety of students with unique needs and the cutest personalities! These books will help my students develop the love for literacy and teach skills appropriate for preschool learning.
My Project
These books will be shared daily throughout our classroom for learning in many different content areas. My instruction with engaging them with literacy will then promote my students to explore and learn new things.
These experiences and access to literacy resources that will provide social-emotional and development of cognitive growth.
I strive to provide preschool experiences that will support the children's growing confidence as curious learners. The many different preschool books will provide experiences using science, engineering and math across many different content areas. These books will support our students in an effort to help prepare them for independent reading later on. We want our children to have good literacy skills to support them on the road to becoming proficient readers.
