My Project
Many students in our school system come from low-income households. Not only are their families unable to provide the essentials, but budget constraints also force us to make tough decisions about how we spend money.
How do we change that?
Having an opportunity to provide new equipment to our athletes through this grant changes those odds. We are a school that supports students in grades 9-12. Sports are a way for many of our students to find a greater way to be involved and escape if just for a minute some of the issues at home. Sports are why some of them come to school and strive to be better by being involved with their team and positive role models. We believe in our students, and with the approval of this grant it will let them know that the community around them does as well. Together we can allow them to shine and not worry about equipment issues. Please help us continue to build stronger and more engaged students.
The equipment we are requesting will allow teams to have new resources for Soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, and cheer. With limited storage space in a school that was built in 1929, the use of mesh bags and rolling carts. The use of the conditioning equipment can be used for a variety of teams as part of their preparation for the season ahead.
