Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Since the opening of the school in 2006, we have grown as a community all with the goal of supporting these young people to live to their fullest potential, including a post-secondary plan.

Our students are the pride and joy of the community.

Faced with adversity these students are resilient and move forward to not only improve their lives but those around them too. They continue to makes us proud by continuing their education, serving our country, and giving back.

My Project

Engaging students through games such as Pay Day will not only support financial literacy but allow for interaction with their peers, and support students who are tactile learners as well. In addition, the books too will help support such essential skills, and learning about choices.

My students see relevancy in financial literacy especially because many of my students who are 12th graders have part time jobs.

I am constantly trying to find new and engaging ways to teach the subject and these books and games can support my students with becoming financially literate.
