My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds, which include low-income families, and/or challenging family situations, to say the least. Despite their multitude of setbacks, they are always excited to learn and try new things.

The high school students from our school are thoughtful, intelligent and a general pleasure to be around.

Every single one of them deserves to be given the opportunity to better themselves and their community through learning experiences that are meaningful and relevant to their lives and their futures.

My Project

Right now, our options for where we can get work done are limited to where we can plug in our tools to an air supply. If we had more electric cordless tools, we would be able to work in more versatile locations.

For example, students could complete different jobs in almost any location around campus.

Students would be able to work on a larger variety of tasks, with the addition of saws and drills as well, such as fabrication and modification of parts for restoration projects or more creative projects.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
