My Students

I work at a school that is in an urban setting with very active minds and bodies! With all of the turmoil surrounding our community, we really want our students to love school and be exposed to learning as much as possible!

Many of our students are not fortunate enough to come to school with a full belly, let alone access to learning tools.

This is our one shot to turn them on to learning and show them that it can be awesome!

My Project

My students are in need of a few more leather basketballs. With the recent pandemic, it is important that we limit the volume of sharing materials. Unfortunately, I do not have enough basketballs for each student to have their own ball. I would love to have the opportunity to teach basketball in all grade levels so they have a great foundation for growth and success. Basketball is a wonderful sport and provides a lot of self and team discipline. I would love to start them as early as I can with the fundamentals, just need to be able to do it safely!
