This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class needs a new bulb for our projector. When the bulb we are using burns out, there is no funding source in place to get a new one.

My students thrive on the kinesthetic and visual learning that goes on in my classroom.

With limited options for our families due to lack of time and resources, our school aims to show students the bigger world around them. The projector in my classroom allows me to share yoga instruction from an expert, students view the sequencing of a point scored in volleyball, join in an aerobics class and have another access point to make their learning come alive.

My Project

I have never thought about a bulb being so important as I do now. It is like that little battery inside a smoke detector, without it the whole mechanism cannot work and its purpose will not be fulfilled. These bulbs have an amazing life span that will keep the projector running for years to come.

As I am the Physical Education Teacher, I teach every student in the building.

The whole school benefits during my instruction, as well as assemblies and program nights from the use of the projector.
