Students want more from their education. They want to be prepared for the unknown that is their future job opportunities. We use a 1:1 iPad learning management system and strive to engage students with the newest of technologies. I teach conceptual Physics, Physics First, to freshmen thanks to an MU program I was able to enroll in.
The addition of LabQuest sensors and new probes will further engage students to push their learning to the next level.
Students will collect more data based on their classroom experiences to help foster increased understanding. When we feed their technology addictions with compatible interfaces to their iPads, we increase their buy-in. I like to purposefully use devices and classroom discussion tips that will assist them in being successful in other courses as well.
The added equipment will help me to increase my student's science and math fluency both in my classroom, and in their future career paths. My students want to learn and appreciate all of the new tools I am able to secure for them in my classroom.
