As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, they amaze me with their abilities. However, some students come into fifth grade below grade level. We support our students through differentiation and enrichment.
Students now are digital natives, they always have an electronic device in their hands.
As teachers, we can no longer assume that learners are the same that they have always been. We need to embrace the digital age, only then can we unlock the full potential of all our students.
My Project
My students will use these headphones daily, as we utilize our Chromebooks to investigate and explore topics. We need these because, of course, our Chromebooks make noise and can become very distracting. My students use these devices in the areas of Social Studies and Writing.
The headphones will enable us to use the iPads effectively in the busy classroom setting.
Technology can be such a powerful tool in the classroom!
It can open students’ eyes to the outside world through images, videos, communication tools, and more! It is empowering for students as they take charge of their learning experiences. I am so excited to see my students motivated and engaged on a whole new level, through the use of technology! This project will absolutely make a difference in students' lives!
