I am always looking for ways to encourage my first graders to work together as a team. One way I do this is each time the class earns a compliment from another staff member, we add a piece to a Potato Head. I have a Disney themed classroom so our Potato Head is unique. Individual students choose a piece for Potato Head and they won't know just what it will look like until it is complete. Once complete. the class earns a special treat. Throughout this year the class has chosen the treat they would like to earn. This time I told them I would choose the treat and it would be a surprise!
I cannot wait to see their faces when they enter the classroom and see that it has been transformed into a GLOWroom!
The glow day will be the first-of-its-kind at our school and I want to make it an unforgettable experience for my students. Our day will be filled with glowing decorations and supplies, learning games, dancing and more.
In order to make this event possible, we need your support. Your donation will help to transform our classroom into a GLOWroom! The black lights are needed to make our room glow. The neon dance floor will welcome the students into the GLOWroom. The glow glasses, sticks, tubes and other neon supplies will help to make the day memorable. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will be used to purchase math and ELA activities and games for the day.
