My Students

Student learning has been impacted by COVID-19 for the last 3 years. Despite constant interruptions in their academic environment, my students show up to class every day ready and willing to learn and grow.

They enjoy coming to school and I have a classroom of readers.

I want to enhance and continue to encourage their love of reading by building up a classroom library to give them more opportunities and options for expanding their knowledge.

My Project

All my 4th graders come to school ready to learn. However, do to the limited supply of books in my classroom, my students need more options to help them become better readers and build comprehension skills. Students love being able to read from picture books, graphic novels, and chapter books.

Building a classroom library will give students more choices in what they read.

It will also expose them to a larger variety of books and authors. It will expand their knowledge and skills. They are extremely excited when new books arrive in the classroom. They can't wait to start reading!
