Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard working, active middle schoolers who come from a low-income community.

I have introduced more literacy into the classroom this year with the help of donations, but now we need to organize our classroom with some much needed bins and shelves.

These shelves and bins will be placed in different areas of the classroom to allow students to access them more easily and to find a cozy place to read. My students love reading and are eager to learn.

My Project

Organization is important in a classroom in order for students to be able to focus and find items such as books that they identify with and feel comfortable reading in and out of the classroom. What better way to organize than with shelves that can be placed in different areas of a room that students can access at any time when they are done with classwork. They will be more visible and organized to use in the classroom during independent reading time or in whole group reading. These students love to read and organization is key!
