This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom of first graders go through many pencils and colored pencils on a daily basis. Our pencil sharpener recently broke and our dull pencils are slowly piling up.

A new pencil sharpener for our pencils would make a huge difference in a pointed way.

Students can't work with dull pencils, or at least first-graders have a difficult time with it.

We also could benefit from a colored pencil sharpener, with the amount of coloring they do on a weekly basis. We currently use small hand-held sharpeners to sharpen our materials and it's difficult for first graders to stop sharpening.
