My students need a heavy-duty electric pencil sharpener! With many students using our sharpener, this safe, heavy-duty sharpener is built for constant classroom use! I am also requesting triangular pencils.

My Students

I am a Special Education Teacher to second grade students with exceptional learning and behavioral differences. These special needs students are served in both a Resource and Collaboration setting in the areas of reading, math, writing, and behavior.

Our school is located within a military community.

We are a Title I school with 73% of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. Forty percent of my students are dependents of either active duty military or veterans.

We are a diverse group with many academic challenges and socio-economic needs.

My Project

This Lakeshore Learning ES119 Heavy-Duty Electric Pencil Sharpener is safe and built for constant classroom use! This product has multiple settings so we can use it for both standard and primary (fat) pencils. We will be using this sharpener every day in our reading and literacy, mathematics, and science/social studies content blocks.

This heavy-duty pencil sharpener will make a huge difference in our 2nd grade special education classroom!

In previous years, with lesser-quality sharpeners, our little hands destroyed 3 different sharpeners, but this one is built with quality and will withstand 25 students' daily use. The product that I have selected will help my students by giving them the opportunity to take care of their own needs throughout the day.
