In my third grade classroom this year, I have many student artists! They've really taken a liking to drawing, creating posters, and designing whatever they can.
I would like to empower my students' creative skills!
The Silhoutte Cameo 4 will enable my students to meet their creative goals. I envision my students making simple things to start with (folders and binders), then eventually move onto more detailed products. I would love for my students to design a class "shirt" that we can all wear with pride, showing off our classroom community.
To create these design projects we will need a variety of vinyl colors. Most of my students like bold colors. Your help will give my students the opportunity to choose their colors.
For my students that are more technically or musically inclined, I have requested a class set of headphones. The students can create their own slideshows, while adding music to the background. The headphone use will help to not distract other students.
When students are creating their own projects, they are more engaged in their learning. They take ownership.
