Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My preschool classroom is made up of some students with special education needs and some that are their peer pals. Some of my students have specific goals that target sharing and exchanging materials with their peers.

In our classroom, we are working on building social skills daily, through play-based activities and centers.

These centers will help build foundational skills that my students will need for their future.

My students need new materials such as wooden train sets, magnetic blocks, puzzles and other learning toys, so that I can facilitate their sharing while playing in our centers. These materials will also help them to learn social rules and turn-taking in a fun and creative way.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
