This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

When students finally experience the a-ha moment as they understand the science behind something they build, there is so much excitement in the room. These experiences are important to share with family members to build positive STEM experiences that will last for years.

The paper circuits and periscope kits will provide students the opportunities to share their a-ha moments with a family member at our STEM night.

STEM night was started last year and students are asking for it again this year! The snacks are needed to give our participants a break between activities and time to share their projects with other participants while the duct tape is needed for the cardboard arcade building challenge.

Overall, these materials will provide 50 students the chance to make connections with science along with their family members. These shared STEM experiences are sure to be a memorable evening of fun and learning!
