Settling Our Understanding of Geography

Help me give my students Settlers of Catan, we use the game to help teach economic and political geographic concepts.

My Project

Settlers of Catan is an excellent way to teach some of the political and economic concepts for World Geography. We discuss the tradition economy and the transition from bartering to currency based economic model. The interactions that students have help the learning of sometimes dry and boring concepts. The students then get the opportunity to apply the know that they are learning but it also leads to writing in class with specific examples. Please give students the opportunity to use other examples of learning to meet the needs of those students.
