My Students
My school is a K-5 elementary school in an urban area district. This coming school year I will have the pleasure of teaching a class of energetic, enthusiastic, and hard working 3rd grade students. My students come from families that represent countries all over the world!
In my classroom is the future of this country and the world, they deserve the very best experiences and resources that will help them learn, grow, and develop into the amazing students and people that they are meant to be!
My Project
Classroom transformations help bring learning to life by creating an exciting and interactive learning environment for students. With my classroom transformations, I hope to inspire my students, encourage a love of learning, and help them to develop problem solving skills. A transformation inspired by the movie Coco will help us review character development and story elements, when students enter Spy Headquaters their inferencing skills will be put to the test, and a trip to Jurassic Park will require students to use skills and knowledge from all subject areas to escape the park!
By transforming our classroom into a scene from Coco, a weather station, spy headquarters, Hollywood, and Jurassic Park throughout the school year I hope to show students that learning can be fun!
I also hope to show my students that the skills that we learn in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies can be beneficial beyond the walls of our school. These are skills that they will use throughout their lives and careers!
