This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is a free, public charter school serving a population with 40% Free and Reduced Lunch, 18% Special Education, 18% 504, and diverse backgrounds. Our school does not yet have our own performing arts venue. This means all performances and productions we put up go up in spaces we have rented for productions- each different, with different tools available to be used. To ensure consistency and firsthand knowledge of essential tools, we're seeking funding for headsets.

Our goals are to improve backstage communication, enhance learning experiences with industry-standard equipment, foster professionalism in a high-pressure environment, support critical thinking, and promote social-emotional learning in real-life industry practices preparing students to succeed in internships and authentic work experiences.

Despite lacking a permanent venue, our students are passionate, resilient, and committed to excellence. With support, they thrive.

Headsets will revolutionize backstage communication, fostering seamless coordination and professional development.
