My Students

My third-grade students are growing up in an urban setting. They range between the ages of 8 and 10. Many of my students have to overcome challenges in their home lives in order to excel and achieve at school. We have a very diverse population in our classroom. African Americans, Latinos, Multiracial, and Caucasians make up our class. Our school participates in the Federal Free School Lunch program where 100% of our students receive a nutritional meal every day.

My students are motivated.

They are hard workers. They are dreamers. My students set goals for themselves and work hard to achieve them. My students are the reason I do what I do. My students are loved by me.

My Project

The adjustable bookshelf and chair will be great additions to our classroom library. The bookshelf will allow me to better organize our classroom library and make finding a book easy and accessible for all students. The chair will add another place for children to cozy up and enjoy a book!

The supplies that I have requested will be used throughout the year!

The file folders and colored paper will be helpful for not only me​ but the students as well. The file folders will be used to organize students personal files. The colored paper will be used for crafts, projects, and flyers throughout the year.
