Help me give my students basic classroom materials to create a successful, structured learning environment that encourages creative thinking as they develop English language skills.
In a Title I school, students may not always come to school with the materials from the school supply list. The items in this project are basic classroom materials intended to create an equitable, organized environment to support student success as my English language learners (ELLs) grow their language skills.
With the right supports in place, English language learners will thrive.
These supplies will help give them the foundation and further support they need to be successful in the classroom. Additionally, it will help reduce the financial strain on families if I can provide supplies their students can use in the classroom, creating a more equitable learning space for the students whose families may not be able to afford materials on the school supply list.
These supplies will facilitate differentiation in instruction and encourage student creativity. The art supplies are resources we will use to create visual products in class, as the use and creation of visual products supports language development as well as comprehension of content. Additionally, the organization and structure provided by the storage materials in this project will assist in implementing classroom procedures, minimizing transition time and potential distractions during class and building students' organizational skills. This will, in turn, reduce disruptions in student learning.
