This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are both general and special education elementary-aged children who attend an NYC Title I public school. They come to school every day with a love for learning and they work extremely hard on a daily basis to achieve their academic goals.

My students are in a Title I elementary school and highly enjoy learning through interactive and enriching lessons and activities.

They love learning in a multi-sensory environment and exploring learning through a variety of modalities.

A multi-sensory curriculum is beneficial to so many of our students, both with special needs and English as a New Language Learners.

My Project

Our project is requesting a Ninja blender so we can create healthy smoothies and nutritious snacks during our learning experiences! We often incorporate cooking into many learning areas such as science, math and dramatic play and a durable blender would be an amazing resource to our cooking experiences!

Hands on learning activities that activate multiple learning modalities are so important to our students learning experiences at this age!

Encouraging and supporting them to use their senses, as well as investigate and experiment, allows them to learn and experience through trial and error!

The cups in our project are part of our health focus to encourage water drinking!
