My Project
Our school is hosting our fourth annual St. Baldricks event. This event is held in memory of a former student who passed away due to cancer. Her impact is still very much evident in our school and community.
In April, we will host a Saint Baldrick's shaving event.
We will have several students shaving to raise awareness for the organization. We will also hold a carnival during the event. This year the event theme will be camping under the stars.
The prize type items will be used with the carnival games and include these requested glasses, bubbles, light up toys, stickers, and other small trinkets. The strange request of a toilet seat will be used to create an "outhouse" tossing game.
Our students are heavily involved in the event. In addition to shaving, many will volunteer in various areas of the event. They will be involved in fundraising before the event. Student council will get the opportunity to help set up and get some experience in community service. It is a great experience for our students and our community.
