Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My sensory tools project will help my students with their social emotional needs. Using these materials will benefit their self esteem, behavior, and overall demeanor. Having these tools in my office will give my students easy access to help deescalate their emotions. It gives them the necessary materials when they are having a “bad” day and need a safe spot for a time out before they go back to class. Every school counselor should have these basic materials to help their students succeed when they are having a “challenging” day.
