it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my classroom are 7th-grade students who receive special education services. They have intellectual, sensory, and emotional impairments that are aided by inclusion in a small classroom setting. When students enter my classroom, they are supported, encouraged, and motivated to reach their fullest potential by being in an environment that makes them feel safe and comfortable to be themselves. I would love to get a variety of fidgets to help keep students calm and focused on their learning. My 7th graders have experienced many challenges since the pandemic started. There have been many disruptions to their educational routine between the transition to remote learning and classroom shutdowns due to quarantining. The challenges of the pandemic to their education have caused anxiety in many of my students. My students need tools to help relieve anxiety and stress in a positive, fun, and healthy way. Fidget spinners and pop its are a fun way for students to let out their anxiety by channeling it with repetitive motions. Fidget toys are a great way for students to release anxiety and help build a stress-relieving environment.
