Every year I get an amazing group of students. Unfortunately they do not have access to all of the supplies that will help them succeed. We are a very technology based school and have both math and reading programs that can be accessed by a computer, some of which is for students who are not on grade level with reading, and so they need resources read out loud to them. Having access to headphones will help my students focus on assignments as well give them quiet during brain breaks. By having a classroom set of headphones my students will be ready to learn and able to be more focused in class! This will also help my students focus at home if we happen to have to go remote at any point of the school year! In addition I regularly speak to my students about the importance of Health and Wellness. This will enable them to listen to calming music while completing assignments and to listen to books on tape without the major distractions they regularly encounter at home.
