This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my Early Childhood Special Education classroom we use a lot of sensory materials. We have a beautiful playground with grass, dirt, sand, and water.

Our beloved sensory table has broken.

The children used it for many years on a daily basis with water, sand, bird seed, pebbles, and many other materials. A sensory table provides opportunities for self regulation when students are anxious, irritable, or not aware of their bodies. It provides exploration into the properties of different materials. It is also a great spot for social interaction and learning how to share space and materials with others.

We miss having a sensory table and would love to replace it with the help of the Donors Choose angel community.
