Sensory Supports for Special Ed Classroom

Help me give my students the sensory supports they need to be successful in the classroom! The Crash Pad is a great tool to help kids calm down and regulate themselves while remaining in the classroom.

My Students

I teach in a special education classroom for Kindergarten, First, and Second graders. All of my students have significant special needs, and over half of my students have Autism.

My students are all bright and talented, and they require specific supports to truly shine.

My students have a need for hands-on materials and sensory integration tools, in addition to general classroom materials. Our school lost our sensory room this year due to space issues, making it necessary for me to increase the sensory supports in my classroom.

My Project

Over half of my students have Autism and require a variety of sensory supports in order to be successful. Our school lost our sensory room this year due to space issues, making it necessary for me to increase the sensory supports in my classroom.

Having the appropriate materials for a calming area in the class will be incredibly helpful for my students to learn how to self-regulate.

Also, the fidget and sensory toys will help my students participate in other activities during the school day. Sensory supports help keep my students safe while getting the input they need from their environment.
