My students are energetic, curious learners who often need sensory support to help them stay focused and engaged during the school day. In our special education classroom, sensory tools are not just helpful — they are essential. They give students a way to self-regulate, manage emotions, and stay ready to learn.
This project will provide six sturdy storage bins with latching lids that will be used for sensory exploration activities like kinetic sand, Legos, and other hands-on materials.
These bins will make it easy for students to access calming activities in a clean, organized way. We are also hoping to add new sensory balls — a classroom favorite! These soft, squishy balls help students release energy, manage anxiety, and maintain focus during lessons.
With your support, we will create a sensory-friendly environment that meets my students' needs and helps them thrive. Every squish, squeeze, and creative moment will help build stronger learners.
