Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are from California and go to a Title I school. 100% of their peers qualify for free/reduced lunch. My students are strong, determined, and curious to learn more. They are not defined by their situations or how they have grown up, but by how hard they work to overcome what sets them back. Some of my students are still learning English. My students have big dreams, goals, and aspirations that push them every day to achieve what they dream of.
My Project
Many of my 7/8 year old students have sensory deficiencies! Having these tools in the classroom would make for a productive, positive, and joyful learning experience.
My students currently do not have access to sensory learning tools and have been really struggling with behavior and holding attention during instruction.
These tools will give my students the opportunity to be engaged in the classroom. I cannot wait to give my students another chance to improve their work and to grow their brains by using various items to assist in that. We would be so thankful if you donated to our high sensory need class!
