My Project

Our Tiny Tigers are some of the best students around! We spend the first part of our morning focused on Social Emotional Learning. Our students learn how to explore their feelings and how to regulate their bodies so their emotions do not take control of them. I'd love to support our students with learning these crucial social emotional skills by providing them a place in our school where they can truely express their emotions without repercussions.

A Sensory Safe Space in our school will be utilized by all students to help them build on the self-regulation skills they're learning class.

As the School Counselor, I will use this space with students to help them practice self-regulation skills and calm down techniques. This space needs flexible seating that will allow students to feel comfortable while we work on these skills. When our students learn to regulate their emotions, they are then able to think clearly and learn more easily. Your support is sincerely appreciated!
