This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students’ curiosity, creativity, and resilience. Each of them brings a unique perspective and energy to our classroom, and I am inspired by their determination to learn and grow every day. Many of my students benefit from sensory and social-emotional supports to stay focused, regulate emotions, and engage with lessons. Visual timers will help them understand time and transitions, social-emotional visuals will support communication of feelings, calm down corner materials will provide a safe space to self-regulate, and breathing balls will teach strategies to manage stress. These resources empower students to participate fully, feel confident, and develop independence, making our classroom more inclusive and supportive.
