This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The sensory materials will allow me to provide differentiation tools to my students who struggle with maintaining focus as well as those who need support regulating their emotions.

All students learn differently, but they all must be open and available for that process to occur.

For some students a calm and quiet classroom is the answer. For other, including many in our classroom, external stimuli helps them better be able to zone in on learning. The materials I am requesting support for would support all of my students. It will give those who need extra support an outlet (sensory sticker, wiggle seat, etc.) which in turn will also provide a more serene environment for my traditional learners.
