My Students

My kindergarten students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging activities that allow them to think outside the box.

All my students come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow personally and academically.

They are truly my inspiration!

My Project

My students love our dramatic play center in our classroom. Each month we change the theme to match a new occupation or career.

We would love to add a sensory table to our dramatic play center.

Sensory input is so vital for every child. Children can better retain what they have learned when using their minds. Sensory play improves fine motor and sparks an interest in learning. Each month, season, or holiday, we can incorporate different materials into the sensory table. For example, we can put shredded paper in the table with plastic pots to have our students explore planting seeds, flowers, and vegetables. We could also add moon sand to the table to create a dinosaur dig site. The laminating sheets will also allow us to add durable materials into the table.

Our students will enjoy having a sensory table in the classroom as it can also be a calming area and an area where they can have conversations with each other on what they are playing with.
